Reverse Flow Trains

Ride Southbound to Manassas in the morning,
and Northbound to DC in the evening

Since most VRE riders work in Washington DC area during the day, most of our trains run northbound into the District in the morning and southbound in the afternoon and evening. But if those schedules don’t match up with the way you work, our Reverse Flow Trains may be exactly what you need!

VRE Reverse Flow Trains travel the opposite direction of most of our Manassas Line trains, so they’re perfect for people who:

  • Work a night shift in DC
  • Work in Manassas but live in Alexandria or DC

You can catch these trains at:

  • 6:35 AM – Leaving Union Station toward Manassas and Broad Run
  • 3:38 PM – Leaving Broad Run toward Union Station
  • 5:10 PM – Leaving Broad Run toward Union Station
