Watch How We Do It: New Efforts for Keeping You Safe

 

Each service day begins and ends with ensuring our trains operate safely for our riders. This statement of course takes on a new meaning in present times, but we have thoughtfully added to our safety program accordingly. 

See our new cleaning procedures in action as well as how riders are expected to utilize social distancing guidance, follow state orders for face coverings, and maintain good hand hygiene.

Prior to the maintainer's arrival, the dispatcher may give the train crew permission to hand throw the switch.

Track congestion means there is a high number of trains traveling within our operational area.

After the work is complete, speed restrictions are placed along the repaired track until enough train tonnage passes over to make sure the ties, rail and/or rail-bed has settled properly.
